Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) continues to demonstrate its excellence in the national higher education arena. The Key Performance Indicators (IKU) team, led by Barokatun Hasanah, the Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at ITK, brings happy news with ITK's outstanding achievement in the IKU rankings.
The Key Performance Indicators, introduced by the Minister of Education and Culture through the Ministerial Decree Number 3/M/2021, are a new performance measurement for higher education institutions in Indonesia. These KPIs aim to create more adaptive higher education institutions with more concrete outcomes. There are eight main indicators that are the focus of evaluation:
State universities in Indonesia are categorized into three leagues: League of Legal Entity PTNs, League of Public Service Agency PTNs (BLU), and League of Work Unit PTNs (Satker). Evaluations in each league are based on competitive curves.
Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, which is part of the Satker League, has achieved an overall second place with a performance percentage of 45.8%. For individual IKU components, ITK secured first place in IKU 1 (Graduates Obtain Decent Employment) and IKU 4 (Practitioners Teach on Campus). This achievement makes ITK the Satker PTN with the highest scores for these two indicators.
For IKU 1, the data on graduates obtaining decent employment is obtained through the Tracer Study application and submitted to PDDikti. For IKU 4, data on practitioners teaching on campus is sourced from the SISTER (Integrated Resource Information System) application, entered by each lecturer and forwarded to the main PDDikti database.
The Rector of ITK, Prof. Rubi, expressed gratitude to all members of the academic community for their outstanding work in achieving this success. “This achievement is the result of the hard work and dedication of the entire ITK academic community. Thank you for your contributions and enthusiasm. May we continue to maintain and enhance this achievement,” said Prof. Rubi.
This success is a tangible proof of ITK's commitment to improving the quality of education and services to students and the wider community. With this achievement, ITK further strengthens its position as one of Indonesia’s leading higher education institutions capable of competing at both national and international levels.
