Balikpapan - The Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) will accept 2,049 new students for the 2025 intake from various provinces across Indonesia. Based on admissions data, East Kalimantan Province is the province with the largest number of students, with 1,862 students, or more than 90 percent of the total number of new students accepted.

This demonstrates that ITK remains the primary choice for East Kalimantan residents for higher education, reflecting the high level of trust in ITK's educational quality and reputation as a state university in eastern Indonesia.

In addition to East Kalimantan, ITK's new students in 2025 also come from various other regions, including North Sumatra (58 students), South Sulawesi (35 students), and North Kalimantan (24 students). Proposals were made by South Kalimantan (15 students), Central Kalimantan (12 students), as well as several students from West Java, Central Sulawesi, East Java, Papua, Riau, and West Sumatra.

This diversity of student origins demonstrates that ITK is gaining national recognition and is beginning to attract prospective students from across Indonesia. The presence of students from outside the region also demonstrates the spirit of equal access to higher education throughout Indonesia.

With a predominance of students from East Kalimantan and increasing enrollment from outside the island, ITK is committed to continuously strengthening its vision as a leading technology campus in eastern Indonesia, focused on developing superior human resources and national competitiveness.
