Surabaya – The Physics Study Program, part of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI) at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK), has demonstrated its commitment to the development of applied physics by actively participating in the 8th Annual National Scientific Meeting on Medical Physics and Biophysics. The event, held in Surabaya from August 7–8, 2025, served as a strategic platform for ITK to expand its network and explore educational innovation.
The Physics Study Program at FSTI ITK was represented by Dr. Swastya Rahastama, S.Si., M.Si. Her presence had a dual purpose: to establish collaborations with various leading institutions and to initiate important discussions regarding the planned establishment of a new Medical Physics Study Program at ITK.
The scientific meeting was an ideal forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange information on the latest developments in medical physics and biophysics. Discussions focused on the use of physics technology to support innovations in the health sector, a field highly relevant to ITK's vision of contributing practical solutions to society.
Through this participation, the FSTI ITK Physics Program hopes to strengthen the institution's contribution to the advancement of science and technology, particularly in the field of medical physics, and to expand cooperation opportunities that can support the growth of new study programs in the future.
