Balikpapan - Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) Welcomes Educational Visit from SMA Istiqamah Muhammadiyah Samarinda. Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) welcomed an educational visit from SMA Istiqamah Muhammadiyah Samarinda as part of a university introduction and higher education planning program for final-year students. This visit reflects the school’s commitment to ensuring that all graduates of the current cohort continue their studies at State Universities (PTN).
The delegation was officially received by Muhammad Nurhidayatur Rozikin and Ulfa from the ITK Public Relations Team. During the session, the team presented comprehensive information regarding academic programs offered at ITK, academic and student activities, learning support facilities, as well as admission pathways and procedures for prospective students.
In addition to the presentation session, the students were also invited to visit the Civil Engineering Laboratory at ITK. This laboratory visit was particularly relevant, as prior to arriving at ITK, the students had conducted a study visit to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).
Novi, a laboratory staff member of the Civil Engineering Department, explained that many construction materials and testing processes used in the development of IKN are conducted and analyzed at ITK, providing students with direct involvement in nationally strategic projects.
Through this visit, it is expected that students of SMA Istiqamah Muhammadiyah Samarinda gain a concrete understanding of university life, particularly in the fields of technology and engineering, and become increasingly motivated to pursue higher education at State Universities, including Institut Teknologi Kalimantan.
