On November 13, 2024, the SPECTA Exhibition 2024 became a platform not only for showcasing the latest research and technologies but also for strengthening cross-sector collaboration in developing the local potential of Kalimantan. With the theme “Sustainable Innovation to Explore the Local Potential of Kalimantan Towards a Golden Indonesia,” this exhibition aims to make a significant contribution to the advancement of Kalimantan and Indonesia as a whole. Organized by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of ITK, the event introduced various products and research outcomes from ITK's research centers, focused on sustainable solutions to local challenges.
The exhibition features innovative products and the latest research that utilize local resources in more efficient and environmentally friendly ways. From new technologies supporting sustainable agriculture to innovations in natural resource management, SPECTA Exhibition reflects ITK’s commitment to driving positive change for Kalimantan.
A major highlight of the SPECTA Exhibition is the Pentahelix Discussion, which brings together collaboration from five key sectors: academia, government, industry, community, and media. This forum aims to foster closer dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders who play essential roles in regional development. By engaging diverse perspectives, the SPECTA Exhibition serves as an effective platform for initiating productive collaborations to explore Kalimantan's local potential.
In addition to the exhibition and discussions, SPECTA Exhibition 2024 also offers interactive and in-depth workshops and training sessions. Topics include Intellectual Property, Technology Business Incubators, and Halal Centers. Participants in these workshops are invited to gain deeper insights into how to protect innovations and technologies, develop tech-based businesses, and leverage the growing opportunities in the halal market.
The event also provides an opportunity for visitors to learn directly from experts at LPPM ITK and industry practitioners. Through these training sessions, participants gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience that they can apply in their research or business endeavors.
Beyond technological innovation, SPECTA Exhibition 2024 also features a local culinary bazaar that promotes the gastronomic richness of Kalimantan. This bazaar involves small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and local culinary entrepreneurs, introducing distinctive Kalimantan dishes while supporting the development of the region's creative economy. It is an opportunity to taste the unique flavors of Kalimantan while supporting local business owners.
By involving multiple sectors in a pentahelix collaboration, this event paves the way for creating sustainable innovations that can have a positive impact not only on Kalimantan but on Indonesia as a whole.
