Balikpapan - The Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Technology (FRTI) of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) held the 2026 Graduation Briefing and Yudisium Ceremony for prospective graduates at the Auditorium of Building A, ITK, on Wednesday (May 7, 2026). The event became an important part of the graduation series, serving as both a formal academic recognition and a preparation session for students before entering the professional world and society.
Carrying the theme “Building an Environmentally-Based Entrepreneurial Spirit to Create Adaptive, Innovative, and Globally Competitive Human Resources”, the event featured Muhammad Ridho Akranata, an ITK alumnus from Materials and Metallurgical Engineering who currently serves as CEO of Pasar Brick and Director of Bank Sampah Bisik Pasar, as the keynote speaker.
The event began with participant registration, opening remarks, prayer recitation, and speeches from the Dean of FRTI and the Rector of ITK. The atmosphere was warm and enthusiastic, especially during the briefing session discussing work experiences, entrepreneurship, and the importance of adaptability for university graduates.
On this occasion, FRTI ITK also conducted the yudisium ceremony for prospective graduates as an official recognition of students completing their academic studies at the faculty level. Dozens of students participated in the ceremony with gratitude and pride alongside lecturers and families.
One student who drew attention during the event was Farida Amanah from the Industrial Engineering Study Program, who achieved a GPA of 3.71 and was recognized as the highest GPA graduate at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Technology (FRTI).
The Dean of FRTI ITK stated that the graduation briefing was not merely ceremonial, but also a momentum to prepare graduates for increasingly dynamic global challenges.
“ITK graduates are expected to become adaptive, innovative individuals who are capable of creating positive impacts for society and the environment,” he said.
Through this event, FRTI ITK hopes that all prospective graduates will be able to transform their academic competencies into meaningful contributions in industry, government, and society.
