Balikpapan, June 21, 2025 — On Friday, June 21, 2025, Information Systems students from the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) had a valuable opportunity to dive directly into the telecommunications industry through the Industry Sight (INSIGHT) 2025 program. For this visit, they toured the Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) office in Balikpapan.

This visit was a crucial part of ITK's efforts to enrich students' learning experiences with practical exposure in the field. The students were accompanied by two competent supervising lecturers, Mr. Ir. I Putu Deny A. S. P., M.Eng, and Mr. Henokh Lugo Hariyanto, S.Si., M.Sc.

Through this INSIGHT 2025 activity, students are expected to broaden their insights into the intricacies of the telecommunications industry. The main focus of the visit was critical IT infrastructure aspects, such as data centers and computer networks. These topics are thoroughly covered in relevant coursework like Data Center Management and Computer Network Design & Management. This visit served as a tangible bridge connecting classroom theory with practical application in the field.

Furthermore, this visit also opened doors for exciting collaboration. Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) Balikpapan welcomed the opportunity for internships for ITK Information Systems students. This is a golden chance for students to apply their acquired knowledge and gain direct work experience at one of Indonesia's largest telecommunications companies, forming a strong bridge between the academic and professional worlds.
