Grand Mercure Kemayoran Jakarta, 20 November 2025 — The Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) has once again demonstrated its consistency as a higher education institution committed to the principles of public information transparency. This year, ITK was officially selected as one of the participants in the 2025 Public Hearing for the Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Disclosure (Monev KIP), after achieving a score of 98.8 in the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). This remarkable score reflects ITK’s strong and continuously improving governance in managing public information.
Representing ITK at the Public Hearing were Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Agus Rubiyanto, M.Eng.Sc., Rector of ITK and superior of the PPID, along with Yuspian, S.Sos., M.IR., Head of the Academic and General Bureau and ITK’s PPID Officer. Both delivered presentations on how ITK has built an environment rooted in transparency, accountability, and public service orientation. Their presentation highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, enhance service accessibility, and promote inclusivity for all members of the academic community and the general public.
The Public Hearing was conducted interactively through two sessions: presentations from each Public Agency and a question-and-answer session with panelists from the Central Information Commission. This year, ITK was grouped with the Social Security Administrator for Health (BPJS), PT Waskita Karya, and the Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara providing a cross-sector discussion space that enriched perspectives on implementing public information transparency across various institutions.
During the Public Hearing, ITK provided an overview of the measures it has taken to improve the quality of public information services. The presentation focused on strengthening information governance, utilizing communication media that are more accessible to the public, ensuring transparency in campus processes, and enhancing the competencies of human resources involved in information services. These efforts reflect that transparency is not merely a regulatory mandate but has become an ingrained institutional culture embraced from the leadership level down to technical units.
ITK’s participation in the 2025 Public Hearing also marks an important moment to reaffirm the university’s commitment to transparency. ITK’s consistent participation in Monev KIP since 2020, accompanied by improved achievements each year, demonstrates that these efforts go beyond compliance they are part of a broader transformation toward a more modern, trustworthy, and responsive higher education governance.
Concluding the presentation, the Rector emphasized that transparency is a fundamental element in realizing quality education. With strong governance and clear access to information, ITK hopes to deliver public services that are increasingly inclusive, accountable, and positively impactful for the wider community.
