Balikpapan – The implementation of the 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) at Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) continues to be closely monitored by the university leadership. On the second day of the examination, Wednesday, 22 April 2026, ITK Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Erma Suryani, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., conducted an inspection of several examination venues across the campus.
Prof. Erma Suryani, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., who had just arrived from Surabaya, went directly to the UTBK venue at ITK to ensure that the entire process was running properly. The inspection covered examination rooms located in the Library Building, Integrated Laboratory Building 1, and Integrated Laboratory Building 2.
During the visit, Prof. Erma reviewed the readiness of the examination rooms, computer equipment, network systems, and participant registration process. She also interacted with the organizing committee to ensure that all participants received optimal services and could take the examination safely and comfortably.
“The implementation of UTBK is not only about the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, but also about ensuring that every participant feels comfortable and receives the best possible service. Therefore, we want to make sure that the entire process runs smoothly from the moment participants arrive until the examination is completed,” said Prof. Erma.
In addition to checking the examination rooms, Prof. Erma also monitored the punctuality of each examination session and the preparedness of the technical teams at every location. According to her, good coordination among the committee members is essential to ensure that the implementation of UTBK at ITK remains orderly and free from significant obstacles.
In 2026, ITK was once again entrusted as one of the UTBK-SNBT examination centers in Indonesia and remains the only UTBK center in Balikpapan City.
Through this direct inspection, ITK demonstrated its commitment to delivering a professional, orderly, and high-quality UTBK implementation, while also providing a comfortable examination experience for all participants.
