Balikpapan - The Sinergi Kreasi Masyarakat dan Akademisi untuk Kemajuan Sains dan Teknologi Nusantara (SEMESTA) Funding Program for Fiscal Year 2026 has officially opened as an effort to expand the utilization of science and technology while strengthening the national science and technology ecosystem.
The program was launched by the Directorate of Science and Technology Dissemination and Utilization, Directorate General of Science and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology on May 8, 2026. The announcement was conveyed through the letter of the Directorate General of Science and Technology Number 255/DST/D.D4/PR.02.02/2026, dated May 11, 2026, regarding the SEMESTA 2026 Funding Program Offer.
SEMESTA 2026 aims to encourage collaboration between communities and academics in creating impactful innovations for the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia. Through this program, lecturers, researchers, students, and related parties have the opportunity to develop ideas, activities, and programs based on science and technology that can provide real benefits to society.
In 2026, the SEMESTA Program offers three funding schemes, namely Resona Saintek, In-Saintek, and Titik Kumpul Saintek. These three schemes serve as a platform for the academic community to strengthen the role of higher education institutions in developing knowledge, technology, and innovation that are relevant to community needs and national development.
In this regard, the academic community of Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) is encouraged to actively participate in the three funding schemes. This program provides a strategic opportunity for ITK lecturers, researchers, and students to expand collaboration networks, enhance the utilization of research outputs, and strengthen the university’s role in supporting the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia.
